'New' Human Resource Profession

8 forms of behaviour in 3 clusters

Through extensive consultation during 2008/09, the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development developed a new map for the profession of human resource management

Across up to ten areas of application, eight areas of behavioural skill, in three clusters, are identified as hallmarks of desired good practice. Proficiency in these skills is intended to become the norm of practice in this profession.

In each cluster, four bands can be distinguished; an individual moves up the bands according as he or she deals with more complex challenges of ldeadership and influencing.
